We Miggadde Youth Farm

Miggadde Youth Farm is a youth owned agricultural enterprise located in rural areas of Nakaseke Town council, Nakaseke District. The farm embarked on producing high quality Coffee Wilt Disease resistant (CWD-r) KR1 - KR10 Robusta Coffee plantlets for farmers in replanting of Coffee farms in Uganda. The farm is Certified and closely monitored by Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA), National Coffee Research Institute (NaCORI) and Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) all Government of Uganda bodies overseeing the development of the entire coffee industry.

The farm also trains youths in agribusiness especially Clonal Robusta Coffee Nursery Operations, Coffee garden establishment, Earthen Ponds Aquaculture etc. Our youth agribusiness training partners include; NUCAFE, AFRISA, Sawa World etc

Our goal is to improve Coffee production and sustain communities by providing disease free, fast maturing, high yielding robusta coffee varieties called CWD-r KR lines. We network with farmers, assist them to improve on farming techniques as well as transforming subsistence farming into business viable agribusiness. We put a lot of emphasis on making agriculture cool for the youths through championing innovations that keep the youth engaged in agribusiness.

Started the Farm
Almost seven years ago we started as a farm with two youths. Not much later more youths joined the team and from that point we began to grow fast.

Special Objectives

To get more youths and women involved in the coffee value chain, starting with farming by using smarter agronomy practices.

To strengthen the productive capacity of youths

To re-organize and strengthen the region economically and productivity through agribusiness especially Coffee farming

To develop the farm into a regional model coffee farm and training facility
